  • I completed this book over two evenings, and I found it to be one of the most enjoyable stories I've read in quite a long time. This is the perfect type of book for a cold, snowy evening with a cup of tea and some shortbread to hand.

  • The tagline said, "If the Shire was your favorite…" This didn’t disappoint! With just enough conflict to have a purpose this was a gentle and cozy tale that was filled with great description and made me feel Iike I had just spent the weekend in a fantasy world.

  • Strange Child is a heart-wrenching fast paced read that captures the reader's attention until the very end. This story follows the paths of two lonely souls who find strength and solace in an unlikely friendship forged through providence. As an avid reader and former reading teaching, I would highly recommend this book for students and book clubs alike. Be sure to have your tissues prepared!!!!

  • Was immediately engrossed, haunted and heartbroken. This harrowing tale is both distant and incredibly present bringing the reader into a journey of empathy that will stick with them.

  • An extremely well written, engaging, thought-provoking and entertaining book. The author moves effortlessly creating characters through which his story's dramatic and disturbing events take place. The story is both entertaining and gut-wrenching. I got the chills so many times throughout this book but could not put it down. It makes you see homelessness, old age, and abuse of power in a new light . It also reinforces the belief in the power of love and the human spirit. Strange Child will prove hard to forget.
